The aim of the School’s Enrichment Activities Programme is to provide as wide and varied a range of activities as possible, in order to help our students to explore new skills and rediscover old ones; make new friends; get fitter and healthier, and, above all, find enjoyment and fulfillment outside of the everyday school curriculum.
A diverse range of activities are offered each term and these are taught by patrons who are experts in their field. Over the years enrichment activities have grown in the BOS, particularly the Debate and Drama Club. Our secondary school students have put up five successful plays namely “Charley’s Aunt”, “Darling I’m Home, “The Matchmaker” and “A Very Potter Musical”. Our debate club has brought home many accolades: the BOS secondary students achieved the title of “Best Delegate” at the Model United Nations Istanbul Debate Conference. Our student, Bashir Habib (Year 13) won the title of “Most Promising Speaker” at the Zia Uddin Debating Championship. Other than that, our students have participated in many local and international tournaments to gain exposure and enhance their debating skills.
